Jaber Bin Hayan came from “Tus” in “Khorasan”, he was the one who created the term “Chemistry”. It is known that Jaber Bin Hayan was well known in the West. Jaber bin Hayan was involved in the creation of many inventions, namely a device called the “Alembic” for performing the distillation process and he also classified the substances into three kinds: metals, non-metals, and unstable substances. Among the other creations of Jaber Bin Hayan are: iron production, dyeing cloth, preserving leather, glass industry, rust proofing, proficient ways to melt gold, and aqua regia or royal water. Among his famous works are the books “The Book of the Composition of Alchemy” and “The Seventy Letters”.
